Resumo:
Considering that water is a crucial element for life and requires conscious management, especially in regions with scarcity aggravated by unplanned urbanization, measures such as rainwater harvesting become essential. In this context, the research aimed to evaluate the potential of rainwater harvesting for nonpotable uses in a single-family residence located in the city of Manaus/AM using the Netuno software as a tool. The research was exploratory and descriptive in nature, with a quantitative approach. Data collection was carried out through theoretical analysis, document analysis, direct observations on site, collection of pluviometric data from the nearest rain stations, and consultation with the INMET website to obtain statistical data for the region. Thus, it was necessary to estimate the nonpotable water consumption in the studied residence, conduct a pluviometric study of the region, apply the Netuno software in the design and analysis of the system, as well as evaluate aspects related to the technical, environmental, and economic feasibility of the proposed system. The estimated non-potable water consumption in the studied residence was determined to be 51.31%, which is consistent with findings from other studies. The results of the simulation in the Netuno software indicated positive economic feasibility, with all investment indicators suggesting a return within the 20-year period stipulated at the beginning of the study. Therefore, it is concluded that the use of the Netuno software and the implementation of a reservoir are viable.
