Resumo:
The objective of this study was to analyze decision-making and involvement in gambling among third-year high school students from public schools in Manaus. The search adopted a qualitative-quantitative approach and, according to its objectives, was classified as exploratory and descriptive. In terms of technical procedures, the investigation was outlined as a survey, using a probabilistic sample. Data collection was carried out through an electronic questionnaire prepared on the Google Forms platform. The results indicated that approximately 61.7% of third-year high school students from high schools public institutions in Manaus were involved in gambling. These results demonstrate the urgent need to integrate financial education into the school curriculum with the aim of assist students in making decisions that influence their personal finances.
