Resumo:
The present study aimed to investigate the health-related physical fitness levels of Brazilian children with DCD observed in national scientific production. We carried out a bibliographical research through an integrative review, covering the selection of scientific articles existing in the Google Scholar, Lilacs and Scielo databases. The descriptors used for the search were Developmental Coordination Disorder (AND), Physical fitness (AND) children. Initially, 139 studies were identified, being reduced to 13 after selection based on reading the titles, abstracts, and exclusion of duplicate studies. After that, the full reading was carried out and the inclusion and exclusion criteria were applied, leaving only three for final analysis. There was a lack of studies on the topic and a lack of distinction between physical fitness levels in the studies analyzed. The results of these studies indicated that children with DCD or motor difficulties have lower levels of AFRS in the components: cardiorespiratory endurance, flexibility, and muscular strength/endurance. In view of the findings, it is suggested that future studies be carried out broadly in the search for data on platforms regarding foreign languages and increase the age range of the samples and publication time. And even if studies are carried out on this topic, with samples from different regions of the country so that we can have a broader view of the AFRS of these children with DCD.
