Resumo:
The water takes over a vital role in the maintenance and maintenance and functioning of body cells and the largest element of the human body's constitution by weight and volume. The tall income is on, or associated with physical fitness in sport and refers to optimization of bodily and technical resources. The magnitude of water loss during exercise is dependent on factors such as individuality, physical activity characteristics and environmental conditions. In view of this, fluid replacement is essential for maintaining performance and, above all, for ensuring satisfactory functioning of the cardiovascular system. Where your negligence can affect physiological functions, triggering complications. The objective of the study was to analyze the importance of hydration during the practice of high performance sports. This study is an integrated literature review, where the scientific search was carried out using articles in Portuguese as inclusion criteria, in two important databases on the CAPES Portal de Periódicos website, SciELO and GOOGLE SCHOLAR. The results found reveal the importance of hydration before, during and after exercise and especially after major competitions to reduce the symptoms of dehydration. Thus minimizing the complications caused by the lack of fluids. Thus, we conclude that athletes and practitioners of physical activity should always hydrate themselves, before, during and after exercise, and not just drink liquids when feeling thirsty. In this way, avoiding the symptoms of dehydration thereby maintaining your level of performance.
