Introduction: In today's world we live marked by a radical change in human life driven by a virus called Covid-19 that Science is constantly fighting to combat and save lives. The Sars Cov2 virus, which causes COVID-19, emerged in China, precisely in the city of Wuhan, where the first symptoms appeared in people who were affected by the virus, soon the contamination became decentralized and was classified as a pandemic according to the World Health Organization, from which ways were recommended that they could protect themselves. Because it is a new and unknown disease for the majority of the world's population, fear has led people to self-medicate, as they have easy access to purchasing medicines, not knowing the risks it could cause to their health. Objective: to evaluate the sociodemographic aspects of hypertensive individuals affected by COVID-19. Methodology: This is a prospective, analytical qualitative study, in which an online questionnaire composed of 50 questions applied through the Google Forms platform in Itacoatiara-AM was used as a research instrument for hypertensive individuals affected by COVID19 from 18 to 55 years. Results: The profile found was predominantly women, around 55%, in the estimated age group of young adults and men, only 45% of the population. Of those with chronic illness, only 27.50% are hypertensive. The educational level of the participants, the majority had completed secondary education (42.8%), followed by completed higher education (32.5%). Regarding health concerns during the pandemic, 68.5% of participants were concerned about the risk of contracting COVID-19, while 31.5% did not express this concern. With regard to adherence to high blood pressure treatment, 67.5% of participants reported strictly following medical instructions, while 32.5% admitted having difficulties in maintaining adherence. The main reasons for non-adherence included forgetfulness (45.5%), lack of understanding about the importance of treatment (28.7%) and medication side effects (19.8%). The assessment of the participants' quality of life revealed that the majority consider their health to be good (45.5%) or very good (25.8%), while a significant portion classify it as fair (21.7%).Keywords: Pharmaceutical Care; COVID-19; Hypertension; young it is Adults. Conclusion/ Final considerations: These results indicate important data on the perceptions, behaviors and challenges faced by hypertensive patients, highlighting the need for educational interventions and pharmaceutical care to improve treatment adherence and promote cardiovascular health.
