Currently, milk and its derivatives complement the main products of the Lower Amazon, which must have good hygiene practices. Therefore, the Amazonas Milk Extension Program aims to produce milk with quality and sustainability, with the purpose of studying the context of dairy farming in the state of Amazonas, under the aspects of animal husbandry and food safety, executing projects, actions and events as a prerequisite for local and sustainable development in the Amazon region. This internship had as its main objective the monitoring of the activities of the UFAMParintins Biotechnology Laboratory and the Amazonas Milk Extension Program: producing milk with sustainability, in addition to carrying out laboratory analyses of the nutritional and sanitary composition of the milk produced by UFAM partners in Parintins. The monitoring of the activities in the Biotechnology Laboratory was carried out with milk analyses, rapid testing for the type of milk and participation in training. The internship at the UFAM Biotechnology laboratory allowed me to follow the daily routine of the laboratory, where all the theoretical knowledge acquired during my academic training could be put into practice to take responsibility and face problems in a professional manner as a zootechnician. This internship was of great importance both for my professional life and for my academic training.
