Resumo:
This article sought to investigate how climate change impacts the physical, mental and social well-being of traffic light street vendors in the city of Manaus. To this end, the main objective is to understand the perceptions and experiences of these professionals in relation to climate change and its consequences. The methodology adopted combined the types of applied research; qualitative and quantitative approaches, which involved semi-structured interviews; descriptive; bibliographic – documentary; field study with case study and inductive method. The results indicate that climate change significantly affects the physical health of workers, causing stress and anxiety, in addition to harming their social interactions. The research reveals the vulnerability of these workers to extreme weather events, highlighting the need for public policies that guarantee their protection and resilience. It is concluded that it is essential to promote actions that integrate environmental health and the well-being of informal workers, aiming for more sustainable and inclusive urban development
