Resumo:
This monograph is the result of research carried out from July 2023 to December 2024 for the Final Course Work (TFC) at the Faculty of Education (FACED) of the Federal University of Amazonas (UFAM), the general objective of which was to investigate the obstacles and possibilities for carrying out a class-walk with a pre-school class at a municipal public unit in Manaus and its possible impacts on children's learning and development. This is bibliographical and field research of a qualitative nature. The bibliographical research was based on Freinet's pedagogical principles and techniques, with emphasis on the class-walk. In the field research, observation was carried out with the aid of a script, for four hours a day during the months of August, September and October 2024, in a pre-school class in the Manaus municipal public school system, made up of 17 children and a head teacher. The bibliographic research data was recorded in binders and the field research data in a notebook. The results of the research show the relevance of Freinet's contributions to the implementation of pedagogical practices that encourage children to exercise autonomy, cooperation, creative work and free expression, in line with their socio-cultural contexts. In this sense, the study pointed to the need to make it possible for the children in the preschool class observed to play a leading role in the pedagogical organization, which involves regularly including excursion classes in educational practices, in order to provide new and significant learning in the context of Early Childhood Education.
