In today's contemporary landscape, where professional and personal demands often intertwine, the pursuit of balance between work and personal life has become a priority for individuals and organizations alike. Work-life quality emerges as an essential concept in promoting employees' well-being and enhancing organizational efficiency. This article aims to analyze work-life quality through the perspective of technical staff members working in the Human Resources Department of the Federal University of Amazonas (UFAM) located in Manaus, Brazil. Regarding methodology, a questionnaire based on the eight dimensions of work-life quality (QWL) proposed by Walton (1973) was utilized. This questionnaire was created and distributed using the Google Forms tool, making it a qualitative-quantitative research endeavor. From the questionnaire, which consists of 29 questions spread across the eight categories, a sample of 30 respondents was obtained. The research results indicate a high level of satisfaction in the categories of social integration within the organization, constitutionalism, work and overall life space, and the social relevance of work in life. However, there is a balance between dissatisfaction and satisfaction in the categories of fair and adequate compensation, working conditions, and opportunities for growth. |
