This research addresses the importance of a social project in a peripheral area of the city of Parintins, in the state of Amazonas, where it aims to share moments, experiences, and life experiences of children, adolescents, young people, and adults. Its main theme is the “Art of Transforming Lives through a Social Project,” which provides quality education in partnership with the families of beneficiaries in search of better results in the lives of each participant. This work, whose importance, will further enrich this project, which since its construction - in the area of the Parish of São Sebastião - has as its pillars guided by Dom Giuliano and Sister Marcela, themes and principles such as: Art, Religion, Education, Life, and Family. The research aims to present to the academic community a social project that transforms the lives of many people and families, through my experience in this place as a student and today as a teacher. In this context, the main goal was to present to the general public how a social project in the outskirts of the city of Parintins, located in the Itaúna neighborhood, provides many lessons and diverse knowledge, preparing people for life. To this end, some qualitative research methodologies were used, mainly Oral History - where interviews supported the production of knowledge - and Autobiographical Narratives (Catani, 1993, 2003), allowing memories to support other stories of art education, strengthening identities and rescuing sometimes forgotten formative paths. At the “Nossa Senhora das Graças” Center, the place of this lively and lived research, there is not only teaching and learning in traditional areas, but also unforgettable experiences with visual arts, poetry, music, films, theater, summer camps, trips, tours, and knowledge of many cultures. Who would have thought that the children of Itaúna would have access to this vast knowledge that transforms their lives? |
