This study analyzes the impact of female entrepreneurship on local economic development, based on the case study of businesswoman E.B.C., active in Parintins, Amazonas. The research reveals that the entrepreneur’s initiatives, such as the project “Parintins de Janeiro a Janeiro,” resulted in an average 27.5% increase in the revenue of participating small entrepreneurs and the creation of over 80 temporary jobs in sectors such as scenography, tourism, and handicrafts.
Furthermore, the study highlighted the role of cultural tourism in enhancing regional identity and strengthening the creative economy by connecting cultural practices to contemporary markets. The project “Parintins de Janeiro a Janeiro” promoted social inclusion by integrating small entrepreneurs into sustainable and innovative practices, encouraging the preservation of local knowledge and expanding the community’s social capital.
The results demonstrate that female entrepreneurship, combined with the creative economy, constitutes a powerful tool to promote regional development, reduce social inequalities, and preserve cultural traditions. The study concludes that the model implemented by E.B.C. in Parintins serves as a reference for other localities, proving that it is possible to align economic growth, sustainability, and cultural appreciation.
