This Final Course Work addresses Youth and Adult Education (EJA), analyzing the
interdisciplinary actions of the Active School Search Program, created by the
Amazonas Department of Education and Sports (SEDUC-AM) to combat school
dropout and evasion in Manaus between 2020 and 2022. The general objective was
to analyze the actions of the Seduc-am Active School Search Program for the EJA
modality in the city of Manaus. To achieve the objective, the following specific
objectives were established: a) Verify if there are actions foreseen in the Program's
action plan to effectively promote the reduction of school dropout and evasion rates in
the EJA modality in Manaus; b) Identify activities to promote the permanence and
success of EJA students through the Seduc-am Active School Search Program. The
authors who supported this research as a theoretical framework were: Patto (1997), Di
Pierro (2001, 2005), Freire (1976, 1996), Gadotti (2006), Minayo (2002, 2008), Favero
(2011), Machado (2009) and Arroyo (2003). The research was configured as a
documentary research with a qualitative approach, for the data collection we used
technical documentary analysis because documents of reports and plans of the Active
School Search Program made available by Seduc-am were used. The study showed
that the Active School Search Program through interdisciplinary actions made progress
in combating evasion in Amazonas, but lacks analytical data to evaluate its impact,
highlighting the need for monitoring, comprehensive evaluations and investments in
infrastructure and teacher training for its effectiveness and sustainability. |
