This study aims to address the watercolor technique and its interaction with digital artistic practices in the context of the artistic scene of Parintins. Starting from a historical analysis of the watercolor technique, from its origins in the East to its consolidation in the West and its arrival in Brazil, the research explores its emergence and adaptations over time. This work developed a descriptive bibliographic research combined with fieldwork that gathered testimonials from local artists, seeking to understand how the watercolor technique, both traditional and digital, manifests and adapts in the artistic context of Parintins. Throughout the study, the relationship between art and technology was explored to analyze how watercolor integrates into contemporary artistic practices in Parintins, investigating its uses and challenges in both formats. The work presents the watercolor technique and verifies its relevance in local artistic production, relying on authors such as Albuquerque (2017), Smith (2003), and Mörschbächer and Weymar (2021), who conceptualize digital artistic practices, as well as Costa (2020), who discusses the cultural scene of Parintins. |
