Dentro dos estreitos limites deste artigo, apresentaremos alguns elementos para o debate sobre as Parcerias Público-Privadas - PPPs no contexto educacional amazônico, tomando como base a situação do Estado do Pará, focalizando aspectos que consideramos importantes, especialmente, de suas conseqüências para a educação pública, a partir novas configurações de PPPs decorrentes da crise estrutural do capital e criadas como estratégias ou saídas para a crise, que redefinem o papel do Estado, rasgando caminhos como o da “filantropia criativa” que recebem denominações similares como se faz com os produtos, criando um novo nicho de mercado, com o negócio social, do chamado Setor Dois e Meio situado entre o mercado e o terceiro setor. PUBLIC-PRIVATE PARTNERSHIPS IN THE AMAZON EDUCATIONAL CONTEXT: NEW WAYS FOR OLD ISSUESText derived from studies and research that the Observatory of Democratic School Management - Observe has been carrying out since the end of the nineties, and, more particularly, that of 2007 on the theme of partnerships in Pará. Within the narrow limits of this article, we will present some elements for the debate on Public-Private Partnerships - PPPs in the Amazonian educational context, based on the situation of the State of Pará, focusing on aspects that we consider important, especially, of their consequences for public education, from new configurations of PPPs resulting from the structural crisis of capital and created as strategies or solutions to the crisis, which redefine the role of the State, tearing paths like that of “creative philanthropy” that receive similar denominations as is done with products, creating a new market niche, with the social business, the so-called Sector Two and a Half located between the market and the third sector.
