Almeida, Sophia Livas de Moraes Siqueira, Thomaz Décio Abdalla O objetivo do presente estudo foi verificar a Incidência da síndrome pré menstrual e o nível de ansiedade na fase pré competição e sua influência nos resultados das atletas na cidade de Manaus, Especificamente procurou-se: a) levantar o número de meninas que sofrem com TPM e ansiedade; b) investigar quais sintomas eram mais frequentes nas atletas de diferentes modalidades; c) em que faixa etária esses sintomas eram mais fortes; d) o quanto esses sintomas prejudicaram as meninas no treino. Os dados foram coletados a partir da aplicação de um questionário contendo 12 questões a 100 meninas, praticantes de diversas modalidades competitivas da cidade de Manaus, de 12 a 24 anos de idade, estando em temporada de pré competição, sendo elas, competidoras de nível nacional, estadual ou municipal. Palavras-chave: Síndrome de Tensão Pré Menstrual, mulheres, competição, ansiedade e Manaus. ABSTRACT The objective of the present study was to verify the incidence of pre-menstrual syndrome and the level of anxiety in the pre-competition phase and its influence on the results of the athletes in the city of Manaus. Specifically we searched: a) raise the number of girls suffering from PMS and anxiety; b) investigate which symptoms were more frequent in athletes of different modalities; c) in which age group these symptoms were stronger; d) how much these symptoms affected the girls in the training. The data were collected from the application of a questionnaire containing 12 questions to 100 girls, practitioners of various competitive modalities of the city of Manaus, from 12 to 24 years of age, being in season of pre competition, being they, competing at the national level , state or municipal.
