Resumo:
The main research goal has been to build up the steel fibre reinforced concrete, SFRC, technology, first and foremost, the bending beam theory. As such, DOCROS software (Design Of CROss Sections) as well as fib Model Code 2010 (2012, bulletins 65 and 66) design guidelines have been brought into play to hold out some nonlinear numerical analyses. In an effort to improve the acquaintance on the reinforcement synchronous actions of SFRC-beams, i.e., both steel bars and steel fibres working all together, parametric inquiries have been performed in accordance with experimental results available in the technical literature. It has been noticed by current models, also including some test outcomes, that the SFRC-beam reinforcements, again both bars and fibres, when selected improperly could end up being technical economic counterproductive, once, into that scenario, the steel fibres could be not wholly called up. Therefore, in an attempt to look up the steel fibre action in the design of SFRC-beams the notion of reinforcement curve has been introduced and run as well. As a matter of fact, SFRC-beam behaviors, through load-displacement relationships, have been simply and accurately recreated by means of the present strategy, allowing, then, not only taking advantage of fibrous reinforcement efficiently, but also giving better control on failure mode of those beams. In addition, it is worth drawing attention that under specific circumstances the steel fibres could even be admonished when designing concrete beams.
