Resumo:
The purpose of this article is to present the concepts and application of Gamification in the teaching of the History curricular component in a class of the 4th year of Elementary School - Initial Years at Escola Municipal Professora Guíta, located in the city of Macapá - AP. Gamification is an active methodology that uses the tools of digital games in the school context with the aim of providing students with dynamic understanding of content when using game language. Therefore, it was found that this active methodology is efficient and conducive to the cognitive development of students regarding the learning of History and promotes innovation in the teaching and learning process.
