Resumo:
Currently, the use of information and communication technologies has increased among children, being used in their family and school environment, acquiring a more concrete dimension in their daily lives and learning, requiring educators to know the importance and influence that these resources have in the lives of these children, so that when applied, it will have positive effects on the cognitive, social and emotional spheres of their students. The aim of this study was to demonstrate the importance of communication and information technologies in early childhood education. The methodology was based on bibliographic research, carried out in the database of google books and google academic. In the results, thirteen studies were evaluated, including books, articles and master's thesis, published in the period from 2015 to 2020, having as main category the information and communication technologies in early childhood education, they pointed out that these tools are effective as pedagogical practice in early childhood education, as children, when participating in technological activities, incorporate new content and develop skills in a more meaningful way, it being possible to conclude that these resources can improve and transform the teaching-learning process and empower students to the challenges of the real world.
