Initially he briefly addressed the origin and history of higher education in Brazil, its influences and its developments. It dealt with reforms aimed at this level of education and its policies of expansion in the neoliberal context from the governments of Fernando Henrique Cardoso (FHC) to the administrations of Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (Lula). He presents the documents that made up the REUNI program at national and local level, with its goals and guidelines of the documents that have subsidized its implementation at UFRR. Finally, an analysis of these documents and the statements of the subjects involved in this process was made reaching the main impacts of the program in this IFES and among them are: increased evasion, increased student teacher ratio, increased infrastructure with questionable quality, among others, where it could be noted that expansion policies serve much more to massify education than meet social needs which they propose to carry out. Esta dissertação objetivou analisar o processo de implementação do Programa de Apoio a Planos de Reestruturação e Expansão das Universidades Federais (REUNI) na Universidade Federal de Roraima (UFRR), buscando identificar os seus principais impactos na instituição. Inicialmente abordou brevemente a origem e a história da educação superior no Brasil, suas influências e seus desdobramentos. Tratou das reformas voltadas para este nível de ensino e de suas políticas de expansão no contexto neoliberal desde os governos de Fernando Henrique Cardoso (FHC) até as gestões de Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (Lula). Apresentou os documentos que compuseram o programa REUNI a nível nacional e local, com suas metas e diretrizes e os documentos que subsidiaram a sua implementação na UFRR. Por fim fez-se uma análise desses documentos e das falas dos sujeitos envolvidos neste processo chegando aos principais impactos do programa nesta IFES e dentre eles estão: o aumento da evasão, o aumento da Relação Aluno Professor, o aumento da infraestrutura com questionável qualidade, dentre outros, onde pôde ser notado que as políticas de expansão servem muito mais para massificar o ensino do que atender as necessidades sociais que se propõem realizar. 2019-03-21T15:41:37Z 2019-03-21T15:41:37Z 2017-05-22 Dissertação SOUTO, Clivea de Farias.
