Binational management of shared transboundary water basins is of great importance for international relations This research will have as central point diagnose current problems concerning the absence of actions and local or regional public policies aimed at establishing of integrated projects for the binational management of water resources of transboundary basin of the upper Takutu river shared by Brazil (State of Roraima) and the Cooperative Republic of Guyana (region of upper Takutu and Essequibo). We conducted a regional diagnosis of the Takutu basin from the research already carried out showing up to your importance today and in the past, within a regional geopolitical context. With the results obtained We tried to develop a proposal for a future water resources management plan this sub-basin aiming at the implementation of a planning process that aims at the binational, dynamic and balanced share of basin, besides calling the attention of the Government of Brazil and Guyana, specifically the areas responsible for the management of water resources for the importance of having a binational management plan on transboundary basin of the upper Takutu River. |
