For this, under Geertz’ analysis, it were used concepts such as culture, border, cooperation, event, art, among others. The methodology used was qualitative and happened in two steps. First document investigation, with search of documents from Public Administration (projects, laws, reports, among others) and from SESC, as well as journalistic sources, including news blogs, besides documents from private entities. With this data, it were created a background of all artistic-cultural events present in the region. Next, it were made interviews with key-agents pointed under the following profiles: the event participant, the artist, the businessman and the manager or event organizer. From this data, it was intended to comprehend in what manner these events may function as cooperation and integration elements, both in institutional as well as individual level. The results revealed that the transborder artistic-cultural events may act as instruments of integration and solidarity, once generate deepening of relations initiated in the border and cooperation systems in contact nets which expand as the events are repeated, in a self-feedback relation which generate effects of integration and solidarity. Este trabalho tem o objetivo de analisar os eventos artístico-culturais transfronteiriços, seus objetivos e resultados como instrumentos de integração e solidariedade entre as populações fronteiriças das cidades de Pacaraima (Brasil) e Santa Elena de Uairén (Venezuela), dentre os anos de 2008-2017. Para isto, sob a égide da análise de Geertz (2008), utilizou-se de conceitos-chave tais como cultura, fronteira, cooperação, evento, arte, entre outros. A metodologia utilizada, de caráter qualitativo, ocorreu em duas frentes. Primeiro documental, com busca em documentos oriundos tanto da Administração Pública (projetos, leis, relatórios, entre outros) e do SESC, bem como de fontes jornalísticas, incluindo na análise blogs de notícias, além de documentos de entidades privadas. Com estes dados, fez-se um panorama de todos os eventos artístico-culturais presentes na região. A seguir, realizou-se entrevistas com agentes-chave em relação aos eventos artístico-culturais na região de fronteira, elencados sob os seguintes perfis: o participante do evento; o artista; o comerciante; e o gestor ou organizador do evento. A partir destes dados, submetidos à Análise de Conteúdo nos moldes de Bardin (1977) busca-se compreender em que medida estes eventos podem funcionar como elemento de cooperação e integração, tanto em nível institucional como em termos de indivíduos. Os resultados revelaram que os eventos artístico-culturais transfronteiriços podem funcionar como instrumento de integração e solidariedade, uma vez que geram aprofundamento das relações iniciadas na fronteira e sistemas de cooperação em redes de contatos que se expandem conforme se repetem os eventos, numa relação de retroalimentação que gera efeitos de integração e solidariedade.
