Resumo:
The search “Challenges of natural resource management from the Venezuelan occupation in Pacaraima-Brazil-Venezuela”, was based on a review of studies on the border, seeking to understand how they happen, considering the socio-environmental perspective of resource management describing the evolution and use of geotechnologies in the dynamics of the territory, with emphasis on the processes of occupation in environments altered at the headquarters of the municipality of Pacaraima, geopolitical border with the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. In the light of the theories of social production of urban space, geo- planning, mobility and territory, the research makes a relationship between human mobility on the border, urban expansion and public policies aimed at the management of natural resources, based on the processes occupation of the territory, diagnosing the transformations in the landscape, from the characterization of the socioenvironmental factors of the urban ecosystem. With qualitative and quantitative approaches, the methodology was traced, along the paths of documentary research, with a vast digitized collection of laws, decrees, ordinances, resolutions, maps and the collection of statistical data; of laboratory research using geoprocessing methods, which allow to perform complex analyses with the automation of the production of cartographic materials, through the application ArcGis-10.5; and field research, with non-participant unsystematic observation techniques, focused unstructured interview and questionnaire, to obtain the expected results, according to the requirement that the investigation requires, making use of the inductive method, analysing and describing the actions leading to the conclusion that Venezuelan territories make up the urban environment of Pacaraima, especially in areas with an abundance of natural resources, previously degraded by the active factors of urban dynamics, which are transformed under the influence of traditional cultural values that identify them, characterized for the diversity of a society inserted in the massive means of communications interconnected in networks beyond the border, producing a decisive role in the social production of the border space, making it imperative, environmental awareness campaigns, reiterating the role of geotechnologies in monitoring the coverage and land use, whose consistent representations of space constitute an important subsidy for decisions aimed at territorial management.
