One of these technologies that allows this agility is the podcast, which consists of transmitting content through audio on a specific theme or area. The objective of the present study was to prospect and analyze relevant information about the possibilities of use and the potential of this media, podcast, as an educational tool for training rural producers at an institution in the extreme north of Brazil, state of Roraima, which works directly with this target audience. The methodology used was exploratory, with bibliographical research and data analysis with a quali-quantitative approach, as well as the selection and use of free podcast creation tools -Anchor and the text-to-speech converter using Artificial Intelligence - Azure Microsoft . The results obtained revealed that the podcast has not yet been used as an educational tool for teaching and learning in rural areas, being characterized as an incremental innovation, and thus an alternative way of transmitting scientific technical knowledge and training rural producers, as well as how, its effectiveness was verified and that there is a possibility of applying it through the reproduction of technological contents already published in podcast format, offering applicable information and knowledge, with a podcast proposal called SABTEC, which is in the registration phase and production. Com a crescente expansão das novas tecnologias pelo mundo, faz-se necessário que a comunicação seja mais ágil, nas suas mais diversas formas, para que a informação e o conhecimento possam chegar às pessoas. Uma dessas tecnologias que permite essa agilidade é o podcast, que consiste na transmissão de conteúdo através de áudio sobre uma temática ou área específica. O objetivo do presente estudo foi prospectar e analisar informações relevantes sobre as possibilidades de uso e do potencial dessa mídia, podcast, como ferramenta educacional. Para capacitação de produtores rurais junto a uma Instituição no Extremo Norte do Brasil, Estado de Roraima, que atua diretamente com esse público-alvo. A metodologia utilizada foi exploratória, com pesquisa bibliográfica e análise de dados com abordagem do tipo quali-quantitativo, bem como a seleção e utilização das ferramentas gratuitas de criação de podcast – Anchor e do conversor de texto em fala utilizando a Inteligência Artificial – Azure Microsoft. Os resultados obtidos revelaram que o podcast não foi utilizado, ainda, como ferramenta educacional de ensino-aprendizagem em área rural, caracterizando-se como uma inovação incremental, e assim uma forma alternativa para transmissão de saberes técnicos científicos e capacitação de produtores rurais, bem como, verificou-se sua efetividade e que há possibilidade de aplicá-lo por meio da reprodução de conteúdos tecnológicos já publicados em formato de podcast, oferecendo informações e conhecimentos aplicáveis, com uma proposta de podcast denominado SABTEC, que se encontra em fase de registro e produção.
