Resumo:
The Anavilhanas National Park (AM, Brazil) is one of the natural destinations sought by visitors who seek to know its beauties and attractions associated with leisure and well being, provided by the natural environment preserved of the many islands that form the archipelago. In this context, visitation in the Park becomes an important tool for the management and conservation of biodiversity. However, it needs tourism planning, which includes inventory, resource analysis, hierarchization of its attractions, as well as the measurement of its potentialities. This study aimed to evaluate and hierarchize the tourist attractions of the Anavilhanas National Park. And, in its specificities, the work aimed to: identify the main attractions of the Anavilhanas National Park; hierarchize the attractions in relation to: infrastructure, conservation status, degree of use, access and local community support; create a ranking of the attractions of the Anavilhanas National Park; elaborate a proposal with attractions to compose possible tours for visitation. This case study is based on the methodology proposed by the Ministry of Tourism (MTur, 2007) for the hierarchization of tourist attractions, adapted to natural attractions, as well as bibliographical, documentary and field research, and a workshop for participatory planning with the managers and operators that work in the region of the Park. From the analysis of the ranking, one can construct a ranking of the attractions of the Anavilhanas National Park, in numerical order according to the score received in the assessment, whose subsidies will help in the management of public use and ecotourism planning. It was verified that there are priority attractions such as the walking trails, the aquatic trails and the River Dolphins Floating, for the implementation and the structuring of actions that aim at improvements for the ecotourism activity. In terms of suggestion, the implementation of a visitor center could make a difference in the National Park, as it would be an important infrastructure to receive tourists and disseminate information about the protected area. In this way, the hierarchy of tourist attractions helps to assess the importance of the attractions identified for possible inclusion in tours for visitation, serving as a subsidy and planning and management tool to help establish priorities regarding the public use of the protected area as well as to the projects and associated infrastructure. However, management of protected areas is still a great challenge for both the public power and the private sector.
