Pindapixaragen. n. (Copepoda, Poecilostomatoida, Ergasilidae) is proposed for a new species P. tariracollected from the gill filaments of the freshwater fishes Hoplias malabaricus,(BLOCH, 1794) from Guaporé River, near Surprêsa, Rondônia, Brazil. Species of the new genus is principally characterised by having a small size (382 a 577 μιη), antennae with a big claw and third segment extremely reduced. |
