(Copepoda, Poecilostomatoida, Ergasilidac) é proposto para uma nova espécie, P tarira,coletada dos filamentos branquiais de Hoplias malabaricus(Bloch, 1794) do Rio Guaporé, próximo a Surprêsa, Rondônia, Brasil.
