The purpose of this project is to analyze and evaluate the current stage of development of
programs, projects and actions aimed at the defense and promotion of Human Rights within the
scope of the UFT, especially at the Palmas University Campus.
Regarding the methodology of this research, it is a descriptive research of a qualitative and
quantitative approach, while it seeks to analyze the effective implementation, phases and
fulfillment of the actions aimed at the promotion and defense of human rights foreseen in the
axes of established in PNEDH and DNEDH within the scope of the Federal University of
Tocantins - Palmas campus in the scope of research, teaching, extension and management,
through documentary research. Regarding education policies, the research reveals that of the
18 Pedagogical Projects of the Palmas Campus Courses only six present in their pedagogical
themes the search for practices in Human Rights, establishing their actions based on such
proposal, with the provision of elective or compulsory subjects in their curricula aimed at the
defense and / or promotion of human rights, how many do not even mention the term human
rights in their pedagogical plans. With regard to the search for research related to the human
rights issue in the Project Management System - GPU of the Federal University of Tocantins,
using pre-established parameters, no research project registered with the parameters reported
was found. Regarding the extension actions related to the human rights subject to the
Information and Project Management System - SIGPROJ of the UFT, it was verified the
existence of 126 registered actions between the years 2006 to 2018, a cut of the research, where
it was demonstrated the greatest incidence of actions in the event modality, followed by actions
in the project modality, with prevailing actions whose main theme was related to individual and
collective rights, followed by actions on the subject of respect for the causes of the elderly.
Regarding the management theme, it was evidenced that the practices in human rights are
systematized in the gestational environment of the UFT, since there are several administrative
actions directed to such situation. In these terms, the actions of management performed meet
the actions planned
