Resumo:
The monitoring of a river basin is essential for the optimization of water management, because it provides information and helps the understanding of the physical, chemical and biological changes resulting from diverse anthropic and natural activities, facilitating pollution prevention and control actions. To understand a river basin it is necessary to know its physical characteristics, processes and their interrelations, in order to obtain information that generates knowledge of its dynamic of functionality. The objective of this work was to analyze the water quality of the reservoir used for urban water supply, located in the river basin of São João River, in the municipality of Porto Nacional, as well as the existing impacts of agriculture from glyphosate agrotoxic and to use as a potential standard for other similar basins that integrate the Tocantins River. The study was divided into four stages. Initially the climatic water balance and climatic characterization were carried out, second was the bathymetric survey and sediment characterization of the bottom of the reservoir, third was the characterization of the infiltration and permeability, and the fourth stage was the detection of glyphosate agrotoxic in the reservoir and water quality analysis of the river basin. The methodology adopted is qualitative e quantitative, since we have attempted to describe the results obtained. The parameters analyzed in this work for the detection of glyphosate agrotoxic and for the analysis of water quality was temperature, oxygen, pH, total nitrogen, total phosphorus, thermotolerant coliforms, total solids and turbidity, was APHA (American Public Heath Association) which occurred in the months of August 2017 to September of 2018 in the NSF (National Sanitation Foundation) quality score calculation. The results obtained demonstrated with respect to the detection of glyphosate agrotoxic, did not present values higher than the limit allowed by CONAMA Resolution 357/2005, and that the water of São João River can be classified as of regular quality according to NSF, although some parameters compared with the environmental legislation were in disagreement with the standards determined by resolution 357/2005 of the Conselho Nacional do Meio Ambiente (CONAMA) for class two of fresh water.
