In this sense, we propose to develop a research on the teaching and practice of Environmental Education, from the study at the Federal Institute of Tocantins (IFTO) in the city of Porto Nacional - TO, presenting the reflections and challenges for insertion of Environmental Education in courses. Thus, the questions for the research are: How does the environmental education in the higher education courses in the IFTO-Campus Porto Nacional? How do teachers perceive and effectively develop environmental education? How does the environment and society relate to Environmental Education related subjects in the higher education courses at IFTO-Campus Porto Nacional? Thus, the general objective of this work is to analyze the teaching and practice of environmental education in higher education courses from the IFTO-Campus Porto Nacional. And as specific objectives: To understand the teaching and practice of Environmental education in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). To present the relation environment and society in the perspective of a critical environmental education in HEIs. To verify the importance of the Environmental Education in the training of the academics of the superior courses in the IFTO Campus Porto Nacional - TO. To point out the difficulties, facilities and possibilities that IFTO teachers find for an environmental education project. The present work has a qualitative quantity character with an exploratory approach, which is divided in stages, being: document analysis, bibliographic research, observation in classrooms, preparation of interview script with closed and open questions, interview performance, analysis of the data, and the last step is the presentation of the survey. The disciplinary character of formal education makes it difficult for the student to learn, does not stimulate problem solving, and does not establish connections between facts. Therefore, when thinking about environmental education, it comes through an interdisciplinary action. Certainly, this recognition of EA in vocational training can be considered an advance for higher education, since the student is able to better understand environmental issues in this relation: man and society, thus contributing to a more reflexive and comprehensive professional practice with environmental issues in their entirety. A Política Nacional de Educação Ambiental (PNEA) (Lei 9795/99) traz como um de seus princípios básicos a Educação Ambiental através de um o pluralismo de ideias pedagógicas na perspectiva da inter, e transdisciplinaridade. Neste sentido, é que propomos desenvolver uma pesquisa sobre o ensino e prática da Educação Ambiental, a partir de um estudo no Instituto Federal do Tocantins (IFTO) na cidade de Porto Nacional – TO, apresentando as reflexões e os desafios para inserção da Educação Ambiental nos cursos superiores. Desta forma, os questionamentos para a pesquisa Foram: Como acontece a educação ambiental nos cursos do ensino superior no IFTO-Campus Porto Nacional? De que forma os docentes percebem e efetivamente desenvolvem a educação ambiental? Como se apresenta a relação ambiente e sociedade nos assuntos relacionados a Educação Ambiental nos cursos superiores no IFTOCampus Porto Nacional? O objetivo geral da pesquisa é analisar o ensino e a prática da educação ambiental nos cursos superiores a partir do IFTO- Campus Porto Nacional. E como objetivos específicos: Compreender o ensino e prática da educação Ambiental nas Instituições de Educação Superior (IES). Apresentar a relação ambiente e sociedade na ótica de uma educação ambiental crítica nas IES. Verificar a importância da Educação Ambiental na formação dos acadêmicos dos cursos superiores no IFTO- Campus Porto Nacional - TO. Apontar as dificuldades, as facilidades e as possibilidades que os professores do IFTO encontram para um fazer da educação ambiental. A pesquisa tem o caráter quantiqualitativo com enfoque exploratório, com a seguinte metodologia: análise de documentos, a pesquisa bibliográfica, observação nas salas de aula, elaboração do roteiro de entrevista com perguntas fechadas e abertas, realização da entrevista, análise dos dados. O caráter disciplinar do ensino formal dificulta a aprendizagem do aluno, não estimula a resolução de problemas e não estabelece conexões entre os fatos, por isso, ao se pensar na educação ambiental ela vem por uma ação interdisciplinar. Certamente esse reconhecimento da EA na formação profissional pode ser considerado um avanço, para o ensino superior, visto que o aluno consegue desta forma compreender melhor as questões ambientais, nessa relação: homem e sociedade, contribuindo assim, para uma prática profissional mais reflexiva e compreensiva com as questões ambientais em sua totalidade. 2019-09-23T18:08:04Z 2019-09-23T18:08:04Z 2019-02-21 Dissertação CARVALHO, Marcony Messias Soares de.
