The present work analyzes the processes of insertion and permanence of the
academics of the quilombola communities Lagoa da Pedra and Kalunga do Mimoso,
specifically at UFT, Campus de Arraias / TO, investigating the role of higher education
in the formation of these students. The methodological instrument came from a
qualitative approach, with questions directed to a group of seven quilombola students
from this Campus. It was found with the research that despite the adversities faced
along the educational path of these remaining quilombolas students can overcome
expectations opening the door for other students in the same situation. |
