This research seeks to investigate the process of Field Education in Brazil, investigating the
closure of rural school units in the South of the State of Tocantins, specifically the Municipal
School Buriti Pedro, located in the municipality of Ponte Alta do Bom Jesus. It also has as
objective to examine the impacts occurred through the process of nucleation suffered by the
subjects that inhabit the Buriti Pedro Community. The methodology used for the construction
of this work is based on qualitative descriptive bibliographic research, carried out through
interviews with parents of students involved in these processes. In this sense, it was verified
that there was a reduction of public expenses with the closing of the unit, and still
improvements as to the physical structure of the nucleated school. However, the displacement
of students to the new school has made the educational process tiring and unproductive, while
reducing the quality of student learning, which is |
