Sport and leisure today are considered and considered worldwide as a cultural good and as a social right to be shared by all without distinction. In this sense, it is important to understand that the formulation of a public policy with emphasis on sport and leisure provides the implementation of these projects / programs / actions for society. Thus, this study aims to understand and give visibility to the public policies of sport and leisure developed in the city of Tocantinópolis-TO. The methodology of this study is characterized by a qualitative exploratory approach through document analysis. Among the main results we can present that the municipal secretary of Youth, Sport and Leisure of this municipality develops a considerable number of projects of sports and leisure practices for the community, most of which is concentrated in the first semester. In addition, it is also possible to perceive a predominance of projects that focus on sports practice, more specifically, football, turning mainly to amateur athletes from the city and the region. Therefore, through the research carried out, it is observed that the current municipal management of Tocantinópolis City Hall through the Secretariat of Youth, Sport and Leisure develops municipal policies for Sport and Leisure. Finally, it is concluded that although it is in accordance with the Federal Constitution by guaranteeing access to sports and leisure practices as a Social Law, the management of this municipality should consider the possibility of broadening the diversity of these practices, in an attempt to contemplate different Audiences
