Adapted sport or adapted sport has emerged as an important means in physical, psychological and social rehabilitation for people with some kind of disability,it consists of adaptations and modifications in rules, materials, places for activities, enabling the participation of people with disabilities in the various modalities sports. This study aims to verify the perception of Physical Education Teachers about the application of adapted sport, for students with or without disabilities, in the school environment in the city of Tocantinópolis-TO. The methodology adopted is a study with a qualitative approach,descriptive and applied objectives, carried out with Physical Education Teachers of the state teaching network using as instruments the semi-structured interview. Qualitative data will be assessed through content analysis, according to Bardin (2009), of which their categories and codeswere presented quantitatively. The results demonstrate that in a general view the adapted sport is shown as important content to be worked in the Physical Education classes in the school, and should be apprehended as an element of the body culture of the movement, being considered in its psychomotor, sociorelational and cognitive aspects. In addition, it is seen as an important mediating aspect of the discussion on the issue of inclusion with students, especially when used for students without disabilities. In light of the objectives and results, it was concluded that the study allowed to understand the perception of Physical Education teachers about the applicability of adapted sport for students with or without disabilities in the school environment of the city of Tocantinópolis, as well as the methodological strategies used by teachers to promote the participation of these students in their classes, leaving a methodological contribution for new research, as well as importantdata for teachers to reflect and seek further development when working with the subject
