Resumo:
Transformers are equipment of great relevance to the electrical system, as they are responsible for changes in voltage and current levels. Given the importance of the transformer, this academic work sought to develop a study to design a transformer, Using Python software as an analytical calculation tool, defining the dimensions of the active part of the three-phase distribution transformer, the empty load, winding losses and calculate the Inrush current. Being designed a 300 kVA dry isolation transformer with high side 13.8 kV and low side 380/220 V developed simulations in FEMM and ATPDraw software. The electromagnetic analyzes were developed in the FEMM software, which consists in simulating the vacuum losses, winding losses and the maximum magnetic flux density. The Inrush current simulation is developed using ATPDraw software. The research aims to compare the simulated values with those projected. From the results it is found that there were differences between the calculated and simulated values, approximately 2% in FEMM and 8.5% in ATPDraw.
