Resumo:
The Federal Constitution of 1988, instructed the government and the community's duty to promote the protection and preservation of the environment. This time, the Brazilian judicial sphere, it is the National Council of Justice to set guidelines so that the courts can play their roles and assume responsibilities regarding the environmental crisis experienced in recent decades. Emerge hence the urgent need for adoption of a management focused on the practice of environmental education as a valuable tool for environmental awareness of the awakening and the institution's environmental policy focused on the public sphere. In this sense are the results achieved in this study, whose reflection base has its pillars in the theoretical argument developed through analysis of operational concepts and environmental management adopted in the Brazilian judicial system, especially the Judiciary Tocantins, tracing comparative brief with the Court of Justice of Rio Grande do Sul, with emphasis on environmental education. This study made it possible to diagnose the gap in the development of environmental education in the Judicial Tocantinense, coming to the conclusion that its use becomes essential to achieving the institution's development and sustainability. Thus, the filing of the courses to be developed becomes practical tool for the realization of the institutional culture change, because it aims to give environmental awareness of the staff, leading to construction of a new focused institutional culture for environmental solutions in the environment work. What's more, contribute to the adoption of a guided behavior in social and environmental responsibility for the rational use of public property and natural resources available by cooperating to ensuring a balanced environment.
