The text provides a description of the pequi soap production process, from the collection of natural
products to decant the water from the court to the completion of the pequi soap cut, which we correlate
with ethnomathematical knowledge. Based on the assumption that pequi soap is an instrument for
valuing and eternalizing customs within the Kalunga do Mimoso community. We used the qualitative
methodology and techniques of ethnography that would be listened to by the actors involved in the
construction of handmade pequi soap and photography. The work is divided into three sections. The
first section talks about the research path in the context of the Quilombola Kalunga do Mimoso
Community in Tocantins. In the second section we will weave a line of reasoning of what is
Ethnomathematics and in the third section we will bring our understanding of the culture of Soap de
pequi and the ethnomathematics knowledge that occurs in this process. |
