The remaining quilombo communities in general, present in their historical context a mark of resistance to the slave and segregationist regime, by which blacks were subjected for centuries. In Brazil, quilombos have their origin in two important movements, namely, the escape from slavery and land reorganization through agrarian reform projects, thus, it is noted that this social group has been constituted building a way of life in struggle for freedom in the face of oppressive aspects. It is observed, in a participatory way, that in the remaining Maruanum quilombo community in the state of Amapá, there is low schooling on the part of the residents, especially the older ones, their houses are mixed, masonry and wooden houses, without drinking water infrastructure or basic sanitation, the income comes from agriculture, fishing, culture, commerce and handicrafts which, in most cases, are carried out with knowledge passed down from generation to generation. In this way, the following guiding question was elaborated: how can ethnomathematics contribute to the empowerment of women who work as pottery in the remaining quilombo community of Maruanum? The development of this work emphasizes the importance of mathematics used in informal environments, emphasizing ethnomathematics, contributing to a mathematical education that can go beyond the disciplinary barriers of formal teaching environments. social groups, as well as being a space that promotes knowledge, even if informal and a way of survival, given the possibilities and opportunities that are presented to people, especially traditional people. The general objective of this work is to analyze how ethnomathematics, involved in the sale of earthenware, is used by earthenware from the quilombola community of Maruanum-AP as a form of social empowerment. o obtain the results, the following specific objectives were elaborated: To present conceptual and cultural aspects of ethnomathematics and its precursors; Explain the importance of cultural diversity in the teaching of ethnomathematics; Show the ethnomathematics present in the daily life of social groups; Diagnose which mathematical content is used by the dishwasher; Emphasize ethnomathematics in the construction of handcrafted chinaware made by chinaware makers in the community of Santa Luzia do Maruanum - AP. Therefore, in view of the low schooling of the chinaware, the elaboration of this work contributes with their own knowledge, enabling the understanding between some different ways of using mathematics, both for the chinaware and for this work and future works in the area. |
