Resumo:
The great changes in the globalized world are increasingly forcing teachers to look for new ways to teach, establishing strategies to hold the attention of students to motivate them to study. One of these strategies that has had an effect is the use of technological media in favor of teaching. Since decades past, several applications and educational software have been created in order to improve the teaching of mathematics. Thus, this work aims at a study of elementary curves in Analytical Geometry from a Civil Engineering perspective using GrafEq software, since many students enter and leave high school with great difficulties in dealing with the identification and application of lines, curves and regions delimited by elementary algebraic expressions generating a stumbling block for the study of Analytical Geometry and other related disciplines in Higher Education in courses such as Civil Engineering and Degree in Mathematics. An exploratory methodology was used with a bibliographic review on the pertinent subject, whose final work culminates in a didactic proposal that can be applied in high school students’ classes.
