Resumo:
The present paper is about the analysis of intergenerationality between old people from the Universidade da Maturidade - UFT-TO and children from a nursery in a CMEI unit in Palmas - TO. Intergenerationality is one of the main subjects of this study, once acording IBGE the growning number of elderly population in Brazil will surpass the number of children population soon. The process of respect is through knowledge. A child, teenager or adult will only respect oldest people if they know or had some affection, and such “liquid times” had been not providing necessary acquaintanceship to develop enough knowledge. Thus, is questioned how young children interact with old people in an educational environment. It’s necessary to explain that the Universidade da Maturidade is an extension activit of the Universidade Federal do Tocantins, with focus on research and not care work with old people. In this environment, academics have the opportunity not only for learning, but especially for changing attitudes through the acquired knowledge and the researcher has the opportunity not only to collect data but to understand more consistently his research object. Starting the work with five old academics women from the Universidade da Maturidade at Palmas campus and theirs own life stories these two elements were brought into a nursering space: the past and the future, fostering discussion about intergenerationality. Five old women told theirs life stories in a playful way to 40 children from a nursery class of a Municipal Educational Center in the city of Palmas - TO. The oral history method was used because it’s best to extracts the research data and also based on the work of Paulo Freire who understands that to learn It’s need to deal with what makes sense to the student or what is in his daily life. Also used content analysis from the perspective of Badin (1977). Through this study, UMA shows itself as a producer of social and educational technology for intergenerationality. In conclusion, the firsts steps of the journey towards understanding and effectiveness of intergenerationality had already begun and many other studies can improve with new strands and in a healthy way for both sides, however, the results show that it is possible.
