These limitations are attributed to the absence or insufficient approach on the topic in the undergraduate nursing course, and it is significant to assess whether the VCC theme is included in their curricula. Objective: To present how the theme Violence Against Children is inserted in the curricula of undergraduate nursing courses at Federal Public Universities in the capitals of Brazil. Method: This is a documentary, descriptive and exploratory research, with a qualitative approach, in which the Pedagogical Political Projects, Curriculum and Education Matrices of the undergraduate nursing courses at Federal Public Universities, located in the Brazilian capitals and the Federal District, were analyzed. It was carried out in two stages: identification of he is on the e-MEC website; search for the necessary documents on the IES websites, and their subsequent evaluation and cataloging of the results. Results: 26 PPCs were evaluated after contact via e-mail and / or telephone to obtain the documents of the HEIs that did not provide them or were incomplete. Of these, 13 addressed the theme “violence” in their curricula, 6 in mandatory subjects, 5 in elective courses and 2 in both. Regarding VCC, only 2 he is address the subject, 1 in mandatory discipline and 1 in elective. Most of the violence was addressed in the PPCs in the 7th period (42.8%). Conclusion: It is considered that the academic environment is the appropriate means for strengthening discussions and preparing students, so that they are able to identify and carry out the appropriate monitoring and treatment of child victims of abuse and their families. Introdução: O papel do enfermeiro diante as situações de maus-tratos contra crianças é muito importante, no entanto, muitos profissionais relatam dificuldade para lidar com esses casos, apontando fragilidades e despreparo para identificação e cuidado às vítimas. Essas limitações são atribuídas à ausência ou abordagem insuficiente sobre o tema no curso de graduação em enfermagem, sendo significativo avaliar se o tema Violência Contra Criança (VCC) está inserido em seus currículos. Objetivo: Apresentar como a temática Violência Contra Criança está inserida nos currículos dos cursos de graduação em Enfermagem das Universidades Públicas Federais das capitais do Brasil. Método: Trata-se de uma pesquisa documental, descritiva e exploratória, de abordagem qualitativa, em que foram analisados os Projetos Políticos Pedagógicos (PPC), Matriz Curriculares e Ementários dos cursos de graduação em Enfermagem das Universidades Públicas Federais, localizadas nas capitais brasileiras e Distrito Federal. Foi realizada em duas etapas: identificação das Instituições de Ensino Superior (IES) no site e-MEC; busca dos documentos necessários nos sítios eletrônicos das IES, e sua posterior avaliação e catalogação dos resultados. Resultados: Foram avaliados 26 PPC, após contato via e-mail e/ou telefone para conseguir os documentos das IES que não disponibilizavam os mesmos ou estes estavam incompletos. Destas, 13 abordavam o tema “violência” em seus currículos, sendo 6 em disciplinas obrigatórias, 5 em optativas e 2 em ambas. Em relação a VCC, apenas 2 IES abordam o assunto, sendo 1 em disciplina obrigatória e 1 em optativa. Em sua maioria, a violência foi abordada nos PPCs no 7° período (42,8%).
