The research aimed to analyze the process of reproduction of the urban space of the
Fringe Urban-Rural North urban plan of the city of Palmas-TO, to achieve the
objectives proposed in this study, we used empirical and conceptual approach. With
the object of analysis Participatory Master Plan of Palmas (2007), regarding its laws
that regulated the Tourist Interest Urbanization Area (AUIT). A socio-economic
characterization of the Fringe in order to verify the socio-spatial inequalities that area
in relation to the municipality was made. It is verified that the developers have
dissimilar characteristics, compared areas that are inserted in PDpp. Thus territorial
inequality conditioned by exclusionary planning in cities cause a range of urban
problems. The survey reveals that the state had a significant role in urban
segregation in specific areas of the city as the northern urban-rural fringe, and the
Caribbean and Polynesia Resort condominiums are considered as regular allotments
settlements Smoke and Shalon are not; planning, characterized as exclusionary,
contributes to the empowerment of real estate projects such as condominiums,
becoming the gateway to the real estate speculative capital, thus producing
contradictions inscribed in irregular settlements Smoke and Shalon Fringe of Tourist
Interest Urbanization Area north urban-rural city. |
