The initiative aims to analyze methodological and didactic strategies employed in the teaching of art at the Cristo Rei Parish School, identifying successful practices and challenges involved in the practice of art discipline. This work aims to: raise teaching methods and methods for teachers in art classes, identify exotic practices and challenges of art teaching at Christ the King Parish School, from the perspective of the discipline teachers and my student. and analyze the teaching of art in the Cristo Rei Parish School from what is proposed in the BNCC and the PCNs. A qualitative research and were analyzed as information collected at school through questionnaires, applied to arts teachers and class presentations, where I sought to find as exotic practices and the challenges of the implementation of the discipline. It was analyzed how teachers usually practice the art discipline and its routine, as well as its importance and aspects related to the formation of the professionals involved. For such analyzes, reflections on the proposals by the Common National Curriculum Base (BNCC) and the National Curriculum Parameters (PCNs) were examined. O presente trabalho tem como tema as práticas exitosas e os desafios no ensino de arte na Escola Paroquial Cristo Rei, uma pesquisa desenvolvida na Escola Paroquial Cristo Rei localizada na cidade de Tocantinópolis–TO. A iniciativa se propõe a analisar estratégias metodológicas e didáticas empregadas no ensino da arte na Escola Paroquial Cristo Rei, identificando práticas exitosas e desafios envolvidos na prática da disciplina de Arte. Esse trabalho tem como objetivos específicos: levantar os métodos e didáticas de ensino empregados pelos professores nas aulas de arte, identificar práticas exitosas e desafios do ensino de arte na Escola Paroquial Cristo Rei, a partir do olhar dos professores da disciplina e do meu enquanto pesquisadora e analisar o ensino de arte na escola Paroquial Cristo Rei a partir do que é proposto na BNCC e nos PCNs. A pesquisa é qualitativa e foram analisadas as informações coletadas na escola através de questionários aplicados aos professores de artes e de observações de aulas, onde busquei encontrar as práticas exitosas e os desafios da execução da disciplina. Foi-se analisado como os professores costumam ensinar a disciplina de arte e a rotina da mesma, bem como sua importância e aspectos relacionados à formação dos profissionais envolvidos.
