Inserted in the interdisciplinary paradigms of research in Applied Linguistics, in this research we have the general objective of develop didactic activities with the use of lyrics by the American singer Lady Gaga, in order to help the teaching-learning process of the English Language of basic education students. For this, we have as specific objectives: 1) Use the selected Lady Gaga lyrics (Born This Way, Applause, Stupid Love) as a didactic resource in the teaching of the English language; 2) Enable the work of reading and writing, considering the lyrics of Lady Gaga (Born This Way, Applause, Stupid Love), in the teaching of English. We use the dialogical studies of language in the light of Bakhtin and his Circle as main theoretical and methodological contributions. The work is configured as a research of a descriptive-interpretative nature that follows a qualitative approach. We present activities with questions of reading and writing, elaborated for songs Born This Way, Applause and Stupid Love. I emphasize that the activities presented are not ready and finished in themselves. These are suggestions to guide teaching practice.
