This article aims to suggest playful activities through games and dynamics as a strategy for teaching English grammar to elementary school students in the public school system in Santarém-PA. The work by Keith Folse titled Keys to teaching grammar to English language learners: a practical handbook guided the description of the activities. James Hoffman's investigation map (I-Chart) was adopted to summarize information from the material used in preparation for writing this article. The expectation is that, when implemented, the suggestions presented here will contribute to increasing students' understanding of the structure of the English language as well as to greater motivation and interaction through this language in the classroom. Furthermore, it is expected that, by reading this work, English teachers will feel motivated to teach this language through playful activities. |
