This article is a bibliographic review that, based on the understanding of the importance of food in the nutrition of small ruminants, aims to demonstrate the potential of food, the importance of supplementation in order to overcome nutritional deficiencies and increase the performance of animals. Animal nutrition research provides information about the ingredients used as well as their composition and how it can affect animal performance. Knowledge of the composition of the food being supplied to the animals is essential to ensure good productivity, as well as to evaluate the cost / benefit with the reality of production. |
