Due to this economic evolution, Rural Accounting emerges as a branch of Accounting Science, with the purpose of providing information related to the assets of rural entities. In this sense, it is convenient to verify the importance of Rural Accounting in supporting the management of agribusiness by ranchers in the municipality of Paraíso do Tocantins - TO. Exploratory in nature, using a bibliographic survey and field study, with a qualitative approach, the research was aimed at livestock farmers living in the region of the municipality in question, and for data collection, interviews were conducted on the spot following a structured question script, applied to 10 respondents. The results achieved through the analysis of the data obtained reveal that, most of the ranchers are unaware of Rural Accounting and its usefulness as a tool to support the management of the activity developed, from this perspective it shows the lack of applicability of this science. O agronegócio no contexto econômico brasileiro é o setor da economia que se tornou importante ao longo dos anos, pelo seu potencial de geração de renda no tocante a região do município de Paraíso do Tocantins -TO, em particular a atividade pecuária. Em função dessa evolução econômica, surge a Contabilidade Rural como ramo da Ciência Contábil, com a finalidade de fornecer informações relacionadas ao patrimônio das entidades rurais. Nesse sentido é conveniente verificar a importância da Contabilidade Rural no apoio do gerenciamento do agronegócio pelos pecuaristas do município de Paraíso do Tocantins – TO. De natureza exploratória, utilizando levantamento bibliográfico e estudo de campo, com abordagem qualitativa, a pesquisa teve como público alvo os pecuaristas residentes na região do município em questão, e para a coleta de dados foram realizadas entrevistas in loco seguindo um roteiro de perguntas estruturadas, aplicadas para 10 entrevistados. Os resultados alcançados através da análise dos dados obtidos revelam que, a maioria dos pecuaristas desconhecem a Contabilidade Rural e sua utilidade com ferramenta de apoio ao gerenciamento da atividade desenvolvida, dessa perspectiva mostra a carência da aplicabilidade dessa ciência. 2021-07-13T00:49:33Z 2021-07-13T00:49:33Z 2021 Monografia Braga, João Marcos Gomes.
