Data were collected from a structured questionnaire applied to workshop participants. Specifically, the main demands and interferences in the effectiveness of NSFP were evaluated through the SWOT and world café methods. Data processing was performed using Microsoft Excel 2013. Relations between education, agriculture, planning, procurement and rural technical assistance should be networked. The composition of school menus prioritize the insertion of fruits and vegetables three times a week, with low prevalence of organic / agroecological foods. It was also evidenced some of the difficulties of inserting the family farming products in the school feeding as climatic interferences, low variety and insufficient quantities of food, besides the low organization of the farmers. The results of this study indicate the need for mulltiple strategies to be instrumented for cohesion between piblic management, the rural technical assistance service and farmers to consolidate the program. O objetivo deste estudo foi compreender os principais entraves entre a demanda da alimentação escolar e a oferta da Agricultura Familiar. Trata-se de um estudo descritivo, com abordagem quantitativa e qualitativa, realizado em dez municípios do estado do Tocantins. Os dados foram coletados a partir de um questionário estruturado aplicado com os participantes das oficinas. Especificamente, avaliou-se as principais demandas e interferências na efetivação do PNAE através dos métodos SWOT e world café. O tratamento de dados foi realizado através do Microsoft Excel 2013. Verificou-se que as relações entre os setores da educação, agricultura, planejamento, compras e assistência técnica rural devem ser articuladas em rede. A composição dos cardápios das escolas priorizam a inserção de frutas e hortaliças três vezes na semana, com baixa prevalência de alimentos orgânicos/agroecológicos. Também se evidenciou algumas das dificuldades de inserção dos produtos da agricultura familiar na alimentação escolar como interferências climáticas, baixa variedade e quantidades insuficientes de alimentos, além do baixo nível organização dos agricultores.
