The object of investigation that is proposed is the policy of penal alternatives, their processes and interdisciplinary and interinstitutional practices carried out by the teams of the Central Penalties and Alternative Measures of Tocantins, subordinated to the Secretariat of Citizenship and Justice and to the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins. The temporal demarcation established in this research is until the 2020 period, with an analysis of the national trajectory of the criminal alternative policy, culminating in the creation and current functioning of the aforementioned Centrals in the State. The objective of the research was to analyze the monitoring practices adopted in the Sentencing Centers for Alternative Measures of Tocantins, the implemented penal alternative services and their conformity to the reference recommended by the national penal alternative policy, thus, the related aspects were analyzed. The monitoring process, considering the assumptions of minimum criminal intervention, the role of the parties involved in resolving conflicts, intersectoral articulation and the interdisciplinary work of professionals who deal with people referred to the Penalty and Alternative Measures Centers by the judiciary.
