The present work has as general objective to know the treatment of the media in relation to the news about the Population in Homeless Situation, or better saying, the “lack of news”, since this population is invisible to the eyes of the State and the society. The specific objectives are to systematize written news about it, reflecting in relation to capitalist society and the pandemic context, analyzing the treatment of the media with regard to this population. The work in question brings an analysis of the social risks, and the means of survival that this population finds, making a contextualization of the slavery period to the present day in which poverty, inequality and prejudice are interconnected. In the case of the slavery period, it is possible to analyze why, the existence of so much prejudice. However, it is noticeable that it is still the result of a slavery period in which maintaining order and imposition was essential for the “good”
functioning of society.
