Resumo:
This research aims to discuss the use of music as a resource in social pedagogy, in which the pedagogue develops the exercise of their function, and in this research, the field of study was the Social Projects of Music Education developed in the city of Arraias –TO. This work discusses the concept of pedagogical work that is present in Music Education projects, revealed by the experiences of students, pedagogues to expand the possibilities of insertion of the pedagogical action, having in Music, a training proposal. The specific objectives are: to discuss about the pedagogue in contemporaneity; Reflect music as awareness. It is relevant to point out that the pedagogue in question does not necessarily need to be trained in music to be a musician, but a pedagogue who acts primarily as a support and motivation figure, who raises awareness, linking the activities carried out to the interests, values and objectives of each student, or that is, it encourages the student to conduct their own learning. Thus, the theoretical framework brings in its discussion authors such as Gauthier and Tardif (2013), Alvarez and Rigo (2018), Caliman (2011), Libâneo (2005), Silva (2018), Kater (2004) Saviani (2007), Costa (2020), Franco (2008), among others. The study consisted of a qualitative approach, and for the purposes of data collection and analysis (December 2020 to February 2021), it was used: the application of questionnaires to 2 Pedagogues and 2 students participating in the projects in the square between 2017 and 2020. Thus, the research states that the social issue of the pedagogue brings important contributions to Music Education projects in the city of Arraias/TO, which must be preserved, adapted and improved, considering the historical aspects and contemporary needs.
